Machine Operator- 1st Shift

Position:Machine Operator III(DSI/Mega Jet & I-Cut)

Compensation:HourlyNon-exempt

Reports to:ProductionManager

Qualifications:Displaypositive attitude and teamwork skills.Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.Ability tofrequentlybend, lift and twist.Must be able and available to work overtime asrequired.Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Job Summary:Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Machine setup & operation.

Essential Functions:

• Creates/sets up programs

• Set up andoperatemachinery as assigned by supervisor

• Ensure machinery is set up properly at the beginning of the shift

• Ensure proper maintenance is performed on machinery before and during operation

• Check to see machinery is heating to the correct temperature, if applicable

• Ensure machinery is beingoperatedin a safe manner

• Keep the work area clean

• Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following

Production Safety Employee relations

• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client

• Ensures productis in compliance withcustomer requirements

• Ensuresthe correct supplier is cutin accordance withcustomer specifications.

Supervisory Responsibility:This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education:High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:Entry level.

OtherRequirements:No other requirementsnecessary.

Working Conditions:High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present.Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
